The market town of Newton Abbot is on the edge of Dartmoor and close to the picturesque South Devon Coast.

Cruise along the river Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth or journey by train along the fabulous coastal railway to the ancient ciy of Exeter.
Take a ferry to Exmouth or Dartmouth, or a steam train through beautiful landscape.
There is local horse racing, many golf courses nearby, as well as riding, sailing, walking and much more.
There is an annual international beer festival in April and the Devon County Show in May is only a short drive. In September there is the Continental market in the towns weekly market place.
